What with so many meetings going on at work -- on a semestral break, mind you -- I haven't been able to spend time at the Davao Writers Workshop at all. But knowing that they'd be heaving a midway point poetry reading tonight, I made it a point to drop by. I couldn't stay long as I had another appointment; but it was good to be able to listen to some of the guys read.
Here's the gang mugging for some shots.
Doreen reads from Frank McCourt's "Angela's Ashes."
Peachy reads "Be Glad Your Nose is on Your Face" by Jack Prelutsky.
Karen gets a hug from Jhoanna after her reading of Jhoanna's play from "Women Loving."
