Pedro Calungsod was canonized in Rome today. While a new saint is always cause for joy, my happiness goes double with the teenage San Pedro. He's from Cebu and so speaks Bisaya; and he was only a teenager when he was martyred, and we need an intercessor for today's Filipino youth.
St. Pedro Calungsod, pray for us, bai!
