Budotz in Space
Over at the mall last night, I saw the salesgirl unpack and install a special edition Kinect Star Wars box. The casing was sweet, made out in the stripes and colors of R2-D2. The salesgirl turned up the screen and I saw C-3PO and R2-D2 guide the player through several expected standards: lightsaber duels, podracing, story mode, galactic dance-off, and even a game where you get to play the rancor monster. And...
...galactic dance off?
Yes, there is a dance game inside. And when you think dance in Star Wars, you'd likely imagine Princess Leia in Jabba the Hutt's palace. So yes, there's that. But there's also -- and I can't for the life of me get my head around it or unsee it -- Han Solo and Lando Calrissian at a club in Cloud City.
Get this: the backup dancers are Imperial officers (sexy girl Imperial officers) and Lobot is the DJ.
The horror. The horror.
(And as to where I got the title of this post, we were talking about the game over breakfast today. My wife and brother-in-law fortunately saw the version with Princess Leia, but dancing to...Papa Americano. 'Nuff said.)
