Salsa recipe

I've recently concocted a salsa mix that I really like. Unfortunately, I just threw the ingredients together and forgot the measurements. Luckily, my fiancée is a cooking whiz and so we spent an evening reconstructing the recipe. In the spirit of sharing and open source (and so I don't eventually forget), here it is:

  • 2 400g cans diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup red bell peppers
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tbsp ground pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (to taste)
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp corn starch dissolved in 1 tbsp water

Boil in a pan and stir till moderately thick.

Your mileage may vary, but we found it tasty.
