FOSS and Social Development

My presentation for Software Freedom Day 2010 in Ateneo de Davao University. This is a bilingual presentation, by the way, with both English and Bisaya / Cebuano text.

  1. Hi Sir Dom.

This is Kenneth Porio, a senior Computer Science student from the University of the Philippines Mindanao. I am one of the participants of the Software Freedom Day 2010 at your institution on 18 September 2010. I am also the one who attended your lecture on "FOSS & Social Development".

Thanks for sharing with us the contributions of FOSS to the society by presenting to us some FOSS which helped a lot on assisting in social work such as disaster management and medical records management.

I'll be wanting to keep in touch with you whenever I can so I could gather more insights and learn more information from you. I am still in the process of conceptualizing my "Special Problem" (our department's version of the "Thesis" here in UP Mindanao).

Hope to see you again soon. May God bless you always.

  2. Good day Dom,
Lalom man diay ka mag Cebuano.
