Simple templates for Blogger

Set up a blog for my custom-made blog templates: simpleblogskins.blogspot.com. You can download the template that I'm using now (and a few more in the near future) through that site.

This site is (or rather, will be) a collection of templates and skins for Blogger. There are hundreds of other sites like these, and definitely more popular, but I haven't really been happy with the designs. I prefer a more minimalistic approach. Since
I like to thinker around with HTML and CSS, I thought I'd produce my own. Now I'm sharing them to the world at large.

Feel free to customize, but I would appreciate a link back to this site.

  1. I'm on my way to work......but, I like the 3 column template. I'll take a better look at it tomorrow.
I'll be sure to give you proper credit.

  2. Hi Dom,
I tried to use the template but, I couldn't get it to work.
Kept getting this message "Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The document type declaration for root element type "html" must end with '>'."
    I'm sure it's me....but I'm at a loss.

  3. My case is worse. I don't even know how to download the template. Forgive me for my innocence. Like I said I'm very new to this blogging thing. If not for sheer love of it, I should have given up.

If it is not too much asking, kindly tell me how to do the downloading. Thank you Dom.

  4. Hi, guys,

Sorry for the late reply. Been busy with something else.

@Robert: did you unzip the file?

@Mao: right-click on the link and select "Save As..."

Don't worry, I'll come up with a video over the weekend ;-)

  5. Hi Dom,
Yes...unzipped file. It opened in Internet Explorer. Copied & pasted it in the "edit html" section. that's when I received the error message.
maybe if you emailed it to me in "notepad" it might paste better than IE......who knows.
I'll send an email to to you. Giving you a heads-up in case my email gets sent to spam.
